LAKE ECHO COMMUNITY RECREATION SOCIETY

Annual General Meeting

The meeting will be held both in-person and virtually.

Friday, November 12th, 2021

6:30 to 8:30 pm

at the Lake Echo Community Centre Gym.

All Society members and new members are welcome to attend!

The Agenda will be published at least one week prior to the AGM.

There will be an Election of Directors held at this meeting.

Nominations (by letter, email or in-person) will be accepted at the AGM.

Or

You may offer for a Board position by letter (signed and received by the LECRS Secretary who is acting on behalf of the Nominations Committee) 7 days prior to the AGM.

The Society Membership will also be asked to appoint Auditors for the ensuing year.

Things to know:

• per Provincial mandate, proof of double vaccination will be required at the door. This will be checked by a private security guard, please have your record ready;
• the AGM will be moderated.  The format will be very similar to the public health briefings by the Premier and Dr. Strang.  The goal is to provide a smooth and logical process and ensure the meeting ends on time;
• the meeting will proceed as follows: welcome, establish a quorum, agenda presentations, questions from the membership, voting, the adjournment.  All questions from the floor will be held until the question period.  To ensure everyone has the opportunity to contribute, the question period will be directed by the Moderator;
• the security company that is checking vaccination status will be assisting the Moderator in ensuring the positive progress of the meeting.
